Located just a few steps from the Central Railway Station, just a quick walk from Krakow's Old Town, the Alexander II hotel offers bright rooms for both business and leisure travellers. The Main Market Square, the Town Hall and the Royal Castle in Wawel Hill are also within walking distance. The exclusive Galeria Krakowska shopping centre is roughly 400 m from the hotel. This is a historical town house, like its neighbours. It is in a very good state of repair.

The rooms are classically decorated in warm tones and wooden furniture. The hotel also offers a conference room for small business meetings and training sessions. The helpful staff at the reception can arrange museum tickets and guided tours around the city. Guests can enjoy a breakfast buffet served every morning at the hotel's restaurant, which also serves polish specialties and International cuisine. Guests can also visit the trendy Kazimierz District, the Old Jewish Quarter, full of restaurants, bars and clubs. The rooms vary a good deal in size, but all except those on the characterful top foor have lovely high ceilings. Those on the top floor have pretty sloping ceilings and many also have skylights. Both the rooms, which are classical in style, and their modern bathrooms are in exceptional condition. Some of the rooms can be a little noisy due to passing trains. These run very infrequently, but light sleepers might be disturbed by them. The lobby is small, copsy and welcoming.
